1. Joe Keery/Steve Harrington/Enamel Pins: I ordered two of these pins for my best friend and before my most recent trip to Chicago as somewhat of a good luck charm. We were seeing Post Animal perform, the band Joe Keery aka Steve Harrington from Stranger Things plays in, at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. This was my third time seeing Post Animal but I had never had the guts to talk to Joe or any of them for that matter. He ended up being lovely and quirky when we asked him to take a tequila shot with us. Total fangirl moment when I got to shake the salt on his hand. Hahah I like to think we played it cool, but we so did not. Anyway, this pin serves as a fun reminder of that pretty epic night. Also just to reiterate, I TOOK A SHOT WITH STEVE HARRINGTON, GAH. Fangirling aside, Joe really does seem like a nice, normal, down to Earth guy and he’s a really engaging musician. Check out Post Animal on Spotify–“When I Get Home” is probably their most popular song and my favoite. PS check out SallyJessy‘s shop on etsy, she sells adorable pins like this one!
2. Dreamcatchin’: If you are in the South Florida area, check out one of Flower and Fringe’s workshops. Their work is so beautiful and my friend and I had the best weeknight crafting gorgeous dreamcatchers and sipping wine we brought with us. The class happened at Shoppe561, which is an adorable store that showcases local artisans. I promise the workshops are worth the money, because the materials provided are gorgeous. I can’t wait to go to my next one.
3. Podcasts: I currently am loving listening to Heather McDonald’s “Juicy Scoop” and Stassi Schroeder’s “Straight up with Stassi.” I started to listen to Heather after seeing her live at an improv. She is hilarious and really does love a good gossipy, juicy story. One of my favorite episodes of hers involve ones where she interviews Bravolebrities, like Stassi. My favorite Stassi podcast has to be her one with Emma Roberts. I also love feeling like I get to see behind the doors of Vanderpump Rules a little bit.
4. YSL Blogger Bag: One of the most extra things I’ve ever done in my life is own two, practically matching designer micro-bags. But dang, I just love these bags. Lucky for me, one was a very generous gift and the other I got for a big discount on eBay. These bags are TINY, but they fit the essentials and I love how thin the strap is and how easy they are to dress up or down. But word of caution: do NOT EVER buy anything from a YLS boutique directly. Their customer service is literally the worst I’ve ever encountered, and they won’t give a refund/only store credit. So honestly, steer clear, and buy online.
