A Very NOLA B-Day
I was lucky enough to ring in my 29th year of life in the Big Easy. This was my second time going to New Orleans, but the first time was such a whirldwind that I barely left Bourbon St (do not recommend doing this). This time I got to enjoy some of the city’s best food and sights. I even got my tarot cards read for the first time ever! Read on for my favorite food/sight picks.
Legit Sh*t 4
When I find something I love, it’s hard for me to stop raving about it, which is why we are probably already at Legit Sh*t Number Four. On today’s list, we run the gamut from home decor to astrology. More
A Few Days in Seattle
Since I was hauling myself over to the west coast for a Tuesday night concert, I figured I might as well make a week of it, so after my trip to the Bay Area I hopped on a short flight to Seattle and met my sister who had flown in from FL. It was our first time in the city, but I think we did it pretty well. In today’s post I rank our eats, drinks, and activities from my fave to least fave (but honestly, we pretty much loved everything).
Bay Area Hangs
Before a whirlwind trip of going to LA back in 2011 for the VMAs (which included an upcloseandpersonal rendition of “One Thing” by One Direction), I had never been to California. But somehow in the past couple of years, I’ve been back to the West Coast a few times and it has a special place in my heart. As if it hasn’t become clear, I will travel for a boy band member, and this time it was for Harry Styles. He didn’t disappoint, and neither did the food/drink in the Bay Area-Berkeley/ Oakland,/SF and a day-trip to nearby Sonoma.
[A note: It’s beyond sadness and comprehension what’s going on in Northern California with the fires. It feels so superficial to be writing this fluffy post about food/drink right now, but it’s such a beautiful and resilient area and I know it’ll come through this even stronger.]
Legit Sh*t 2
I love to recommend things that I love. I seriously get JOY when I walk in someone’s bathroom and see a spray or candle I gushed about. So this list of Legit Sh*t is close to my heart. Some of the things on here might be bizarre, or already so well known they don’t merit restatement, but many of the things on here I’m constantly asked about, so I feel there is some segment of society that hasn’t been clued in to these gems yet. Read on to see some legit shiz I can’t live without.
Another Manic NYC Trip
I said it last time, I really can’t get enough of NY and I continue to feel like anything can happen each time I’m there! It’s a recurring theme on this blog that I love my eats, dranks, and concerts, so this weekend was no different, but it also had a little metaphysical and body modification thrown into it too (I promise, not as scary as it sounds). I really think if you do some of the things in this post combined with some from my last post you are sure to have a pretty dank time.
Review of the Eau Spa in Palm Beach
Who doesn’t love going to the spa? I honestly think it’s one of life’s greatest pleasures and while I haven’t been to too many, Eau Spa in Palm Beach (technically Manalapan, FL) is one of the most beaut ones I’ve been to. Read on for some of my thoughts on the general vibe and the HydraFacial treatment I got during my last visit. More
